Shoes

As you know we are painting a shoe/boot still life next week, so don't forget to bring in a pair! I've been looking at how figures emerge out of shadows, linking the foreground and background.

Once we have more objects to paint we'll have to think of a simple way of conveying the idea of distance and so will have to create a foreground, middle ground and background. Theatre designers use "Stage flats" to give this illusion and our approach is going to take inspiration from that.
