Service Description

This 6 week course will introduce you to the techniques used to paint landscapes in oils as well as the theory that lies behind them. We'll look at art-historical examples of master oil paintings to deconstruct what makes them so successful and paint from carefully chosen resource images to practice giving the illusion of convincing form and distance. We'll be looking in depth at impressionist techniques to teach us how to paint outside "en plein air". By the end of the course you will have the skills and confidence to embark on your own oil paintings of your surroundings and understand the steps to turning what you see into a beautiful painting.

Refunds can be made up to one week before course begins. A £5 transaction fee will be deduced.
