Next week we will be painting a landscape with an emphasis on composition. You can find an image to work from or you can make up your own. I'm trying my hand at recreating contemporary early 19th century landscapes, if that makes any sense.

Cornelius Varley's sketches

not forgetting John Sell Cotman's contrasting shapes

or Turner's sublime colour

while making it somehow relevant to today, like in this Diebenkorn.
