Old master copy

On Thursday we're going to learn from the best! (or one of them) and try our hand at forging one of Rembrandt's figure paintings.

By attempting to reproduce this painting we will get a real insight into the tonal variations it takes to give the appearance of volume and how the relationship of the figure with the background hues gives the painting its dramatic quality.
