Lemons

Next week we will be looking at painting lemons, not original but very useful when looking at how colour changes in step with value. If we just made a yellow tone (adding black) or a tint (with white) we would miss out on the richness different hues offer.

Yes, I did go off track a bit, but it is difficult trying to limit the colours you use to defined areas!


Next week you can either try this task, which I'll explain in more detail, or you can try your hand at painting some real lemons, which I'll bring in. In the meanwhile practice observing objects around the house and see how light and shadow fall on them.
