This Thursday we'll be painting the urban landscape that we can use to create a dramatic compositions. These examples by Ben Aronson show how this can be acheived, but also how subtle contrasts express distance (atmospheric perspective).

I'll be painting in oils for a change this Thursday so that you can see the parallels with acrylic painting. Must remember to prepare a piece of cardboard with a coat of PVA sealant (on each side so that it doesn't warp).
