Course description

For the Wednesday improver courses you should have some knowledge of handling paint and will be familiar with your art materials of choice. My short demonstrations will be using acrylics although you can work in your own choice of medium. In this second autumn block we will be revisiting still life painting to expand its scope beyond traditional fruit and flower compositions. We will be painting from life to practice modelling and controlling the edges of our forms to establish the foreground/background relationship. You will also develop your own still life composition and produce resource images to help you in the process of creating your own individual vision of what still life painting can be.
