Course description

We will see how elements such as repetition, pattern and movement can be used in landscape painting and how artists have developed a new visual language in paint through this subject matter. We will also be revisiting and practicing important painting techniques that control atmospheric perspective, distance, mood and volume to see how these continue to function in abstract painting. To receive feedback on the progress of your paintings they can be brought into the class or sent to me as jpegs for group feedback.
