Service Description

In this 10 week course we will continue to explore the techniques used by figurative oil painters and the theory that lies behind them. We'll look at art-historical examples of master oil paintings to deconstruct what makes them so successful. We will move from examples through demonstrations and practice sketches to longer studies of still life objects and carefully chosen resource images which we will use for portrait and figure painting. Through this course you will gain the expertise to choose and develop your subject matter and refine your personal style within a supportive group of painters.
