Next week we're looking at how light affects colour. We'll continue to practice using our holistic (right hemisphere) brain to look at shapes and begin to investigate how colour is relative and always depends on its surroundings.
To practice this I made a simple painting model out of a small pile of books...
We're going to try to keep our values limited to 3 and see how colour changes in the light and in the shadow.
Try practicing some simple shapes at home like these (although they are watercolours).
I'll put session 2 in the members' next Friday. Look forward to seeing you next week!
Tried to apply some of the skills we learned last week to my practice from home. Only a quick paint, 30 minutes, but I tried to pay attention to how light changes colour.
